Glo Up Spirituality and Wellness Event

On Sunday 3rd June 2018 Awoken open opened the doors to our first Spirituality and Wellness Event in Birmingham and it's been hard to put into words just how we've all been feeling after creating this amazing event!!

We want to thank everyone that brought a ticket, everyone that had a stall, delivered a workshop, DJ'd, helped us secure and decorate the venue, worked on the door and captured the beauty of the event through film and photography!! Words cannot express the amount of gratitude we all have for everyone coming together and making this happen. 

Introduction to Glo Up - Meet the team

We know how difficult the spiritual journey can be and sometimes there are no answers on Google and your friends just don't understand; so we wanted to create a community in Birmingham we can all reach out to. A place where we can connect, heal and have conscious conversations without judgement.

 

Jason Beige – Om Chanting Meditation Workshop

It humbled me and touched me deeply when people told me they came to the event alone and felt that they had left with family. I was rushed off my feet but in any moment I got to stop and look around I was in awe at the peaceful unified vibe - so many different kinds of people vibrating on a wave that I believe was felt by all. We met many people that had arrived at Glo Up alone, felt comfortable enough to share their stories and left with new friends.

Making Connections

We held a cacao ceremony in the morning filling out the workshop room and setting the tone for nothing but good vibes for the rest of the day. We dance our chakras into alignment, journeyed to the rhythm of shamanic drumming, vibrated high as a collective during OM chanting meditation, held regal Kemetic yoga poses, danced and vibed with performers and finally healed our bodies by bathing in the sounds of the universe setting ourselves up for the rest of the week.

It was spectacular.
